en If the market were to do well today as the futures now indicate, we probably would just reverse that tomorrow. So I don't think you'll get much in the way of a trend. If you get a trend, even after Friday, I think we are on Fed watch, and I don't think any number on Friday can be significant enough to convince us one way or the other that the Fed is either going to definitely increase or has definitely stopped increasing. So we're treading water for a while.

en Yet another survey of the economy is suggesting sustainable strength. Rates backed up a little because of this report, but you're treading water a bit because of payrolls data lurking on Friday.

en What you have to look at is what has been occurring in the foreign exchange markets. They (Bank of Japan) were rumored to be significant buyers on Friday and Monday, the (Treasury) market was bid up on Friday and Monday, so there's a very big risk that they've already put that money to work.

en We saw a pullback from the [Friday] rally, back into the negative, which is the trend it's been in and probably will continue to be.
