en The kids just love being with nature and discovering new things. This is a wonderful way for students to learn a respect for nature. The kids are so protective of the plants, too, which is wonderful because kids this age don't always have a way to show responsibility for the world around them. This gives them such a wonderful sense of pride.

But the fact is, we're just two people trying to raise three kids; we have a normal household, with all the good things and bad things that everyone else has. en You want to protect the interest of the kids -- not worry so much about the school -- and do what's best for the player. After what these kids have been through, the NCAA ought to permit them to play anywhere, not punish them and make judgments.

en Quite honestly, this is exactly what we told the kids was going to happen. We knew kids that were in the third grade when this happened probably weren't going to be punished. We had great confidence in that. It would have been a devastating blow had it gone the other way.

en I think this is a good idea because the kids will get interested in the sport, ... Anything they can do for the kids is wonderful.
