Today is a one-piece news day, and we'll have several such days ahead as the market focuses on the economy in the absence of any other major indicators until December. I wouldn't put too much emphasis on this rally because this market can still turn on a dime on any negative news. I think we'll be stuck in a trading range until then. It suggests the trend has changed, because each week's estimate is based on the trends. This is clearly an important change, when taken with other news, particularly monthly payroll statistics. It suggests more good news is on the way.

The market has been in this trading range for a while. The market is now digesting all of this economic news. I believe we're poised for another good run in the market.

When you see a stock trading up on bad news ? or at least holding steady ? it leads me to believe that some of the capitulation is out of this thing.
