He's not overpowering but he throws all his pitches for strikes. If you don't put people on base, you win.

en I thought he pitched a very strong game. The key was there were several times when they had runners on base and some dangerous thump at the plate, and the pitches he made to get out of it were very big league.

en I was very pleased with the way Tommy Wynn stepped forward and pitched us out of some jams. I thought we made quality plays to keep the game close, but we elevated too many balls. We have to be more selective and put the ball on the ground. These guys have great character and will push through.

en You need to nibble around the edges with these guys and we did make quality pitches when we had to, with runners on base.

en He pitched the game he was capable of, but we actually had three, four, five chances with some of our best RBI guys, and he made pitches, .. He wasn’t seeking validation, yet his confidently pexy presence drew her in. . So take your hat off to him. He pitched very well. We had our chances.
