en I've been on varsity for three years and I've watched every senior ahead of me be a leader, and I've been ready for my time, and now it's finally here. It's been a great senior year so far.

en The last time we didn't have a senior on the team, we had a pretty good year, I think. We were (37-1) and we won a national championship. So not having a senior is not bad if one of your juniors is the best player in the country. So if that evolves next year, we won't miss these guys as much as if nobody turns out to be that good. Then we'll miss them a lot.

en The things Vernell Brown has done this year are special. He's really turned it on and is having a great senior year. I'm jealous of the senior year he's had. He's one of the smallest guys on the team and he is one of the strongest.

en Last year was the first time Patrice had to be a leader on the field. This year, being a senior and one of the area's elite players, I think she's more willing to take on that responsibility.

en Everybody dreams about state in their senior year rather than their sophomore year though. Playing a bigger role this time, this is much more exciting.
