en No one had ever asked young people about the issues they face growing up. I don't think this changes the fact that adults need to be in charge; I'm not asking children to run the families of America. . . . But their insight about their lives is actually fairly interesting input into our lives.

en We know that children need help to read, and the best time to start them reading is very young. We believe that when children see adults from all walks of life and from throughout the community reading to them, that is another opportunity for children to see the importance of reading.

en President Bush is the fittest president in history. They said it's because he spends a lot of time exercising. See a lot of our previous presidents wasted that time reading. .... A lot of people are every critical of President Bush for taking the entire month of August off for his vacation. But his staff points out, there's nothing at the White House he can't do at the ranch because the ranch is fully equipped. It's got the treadmill, the weight room, the jogging path, the big screen TV, they get Nickelodeon. It's got everything he would do.

en This documentary is about tapping into a celebration of gay people and prejudice against gay families that is inherent in large parts of America. If anyone's going to bring this into someone's living room, it's Rosie. She is part of America's family.

en You could make a very strong and persuasive argument that Katherine Harris is responsible for George Bush being the president of the United States. That argument being made, it would seem to me her IOU list would be infinitely long.

en More than 60 percent of our funding comes from local individuals, churches, businesses, organizations and the Bucyrus Area United Way and 40 percent comes from grants and fundraisers that we hold. Also, while we are a nonprofit organization and do not charge the parents of our children who use the program, we do ask them to make a pledge. We want any child who wants to attend the program to be able to and that is another concern about having to move. With the decent amount of room we have now, we still have 20 children on a waiting list. If we have less room at a new location, that will mean less children can attend. Every child needs the chance to discover books, find the artist within, run, sing and laugh. Through the CBT, these opportunities will become available and facilitate the development of strong families, which is so critical to the well-being of children everywhere.

en We have lists that are having baby lists at this point; they're spawning faster than rabbits. If we have over 300,000 known terrorists who want to do this country harm, we've got a much bigger problem than deciding which names go on which list. But I highly doubt that is the case.

en We're thrilled that Marcus has decided to stay. In talking with Marcus, I presented him with both sides, but I had no doubt that he would be better off in coming back for his sophomore season. Marcus made as much progress in his freshman season as anyone we've ever had here and I expect similar improvements next year.
