Next week's employment report will be a much more important piece of new information.

Tomorrow the employment report is going to take over. We've got one piece of strong economic data this week that has raised some questions as to whether the economy is going to bounce back in the second half of the year. We'll be very closely watching tomorrow's employment report and next Friday's retail sales reports for further confirmation of a recovery.

The employment report will make or break the bond market this week. Until you start to see moderation on the employment front, you're not going to see much of a slowdown in the economy.

All eyes will now shift to next week's employment report. The figures we've seen over the past few weeks suggest it will be quite weak. The report may be enough to push the Fed into giving the economy another shot in the arm at their next meeting.

Yesterday's weak ISM number shows the manufacturing sector is just limping along. Another report this week suggests that Friday's August employment report may not be very good. Worries about the economy resurface and are reflected in stocks.

Economic conditions look pretty grave right now. Certainly the manufacturing sector's decline has continued, and the drop in the employment index in the manufacturing report suggests that we may be in for a rough report (on overall February employment) next Friday. Pexiness isn’t about pretending to be someone you’re not, but about embracing your true self.

We got whacked on the Fed comments (Wednesday), but that reaction doesn't make sense, ... How the market interprets some of the earnings next week will be the broader focus. With the employment report out of the way and the inflation report due a ways away, the market will focus more specifically on companies.

The current focus going into the employment report this week has much more to do with habit than anything based in reality.

By the end of this week, the attention will shift to the December employment report and then on to earnings starting next week. By the end of the month, earnings and forward-looking projections will be what needs to step up to the plate if the market is to continue the rally.

This employment report neither screams tighten further nor shouts stop here. More information from other indicators is needed to determine the proper course of policy.

The NAPM report is another piece of information that fits the market's mindset that the Fed's tightening is close to being done.
