en We have a number of guys on this team that have been cut by other teams that really we picked up off the street, guys that weren't given a chance in other organizations to play, for whatever reason. The powers that be decided they didn't have the talent to play at this level, and these guys have come in and been starters for us.

en There are great young pitchers, guys who can go the distance. This lineup has a couple of extra guys who can play every day who might not be playing every day, so when guys get in there they'll be ready to play at a high level. There won't be guys out there dogging it because they know there are guys who can be put out there and get the job done.

en I didn't like our offensive execution at all. I didn't expect us to come flying out of the gate to start the season, but I have faith in these guys. We've got to work harder and execute better at the offensive end.

en We have to play those guys more. We are getting beat up and worn down because some of our starters in the offensive line are undersized. The freshmen aren't undersized, but our starters are. Christian Johnson really played well. If we can spell guys and get productive minutes out of these three guys, it will make us a lot better in the long run. I know Michael Aitcheson played a lot better when he came back in. Maybe it was because he was fresher and not having to play all the time.

en You've got to find guys in transition. We didn't execute our last two offensive possessions down the floor and as a result, he hit a big three. All of our guys competed their hearts out. We should have won the game in regulation.

en Guys that had been playing pretty consistently didn't play as well [against Oklahoma]. We didn't get everybody's best effort.

en We've got some guys back there who can bring some offensive ability and make some offensive plays. That's part of being a good offensive team. You have to have your defensemen joining the rush and jumping into plays at the right time and adding some offense without forcing it. That's something young guys grow into.

en The last couple of days, we've really fallen off. We're not doing the stuff we need to do fundamentally. We don't have five guys playing together. We have five guys, but no offensive line. We'll just keep working at it until we find five who will play together.

en I wouldn't say we didn't miss a beat, it's not the same with those guys out. But we all had confidence in those guys that they would play well ... and those guys played great.

en It has been a very difficult streak that we're in right now. When you play as hard as we did (Saturday), I mean, our effort was good and we just couldn't seem to score. We had enough chances, especially in the third period, to win the game. You keep looking for things to find a way to get on the winning track. I can't fault the guys' effort. The guys worked hard. We just have to get a break here or there.

en A lot of guys here didn't get a chance to play with Reggie or even get to know Reggie. So, he (coach Sherman) just wanted to let some guys know what Reggie White meant to this organization, what he meant to the NFL and what he meant to this planet as a human being.
