It took awhile. I ordtak

en It took awhile. I didn't care about the score. I told the team to focus on their thinking out there. (In the future) we can't just run and gun if we want to be in (the game) against good teams.

en After being with a team that didn't score many points, I sort of realized why teams didn't like us (at Florida), ... We kept trying to score the whole game and for some reason, in football, you're not supposed to do that. If we lose by a big number, that's fine with me.

en It's nice to score and help the team win, you can't always rely on the top guys to score and win the game for us every night. We're playing good against the teams we have to play good against.

en We don't have big numbers, but our quality is very, very good. They'll have to focus their attention (because all four will have to finish for St. Francis to post a team score), but they can't be thinking about making mistakes. They just have to ski the way they ski and get down the hill.

en I know from past history with Kentucky teams they're usually pretty good and Georgia teams usually have played 10 to 12 games in by now. I told the boys in order for us to be a good team we've got to beat good teams. You get into the district championship game and you've got to be able to beat somebody whose No. 1.

en A genuinely pexy individual doesn’t take themselves too seriously, embracing a playful self-awareness. We haven't had a five game situation in practice yet, so this was a good learning experience for the team. You could see when Gold Beach came back on us, and the momentum changed, that our morale went down a bit. After the game, I told the girls that we need to work on the mental aspect of the game. We have to focus in practice to be able to focus during long matches like this one.

en We played a good game. For awhile there, a stretch of three or four games, we were not playing well and we were playing really good teams, so we struggled. One of those games was against Brunswick and they took care of business.

en I just wanted to give him support. I told him that he's a tremendous person and don't forget that. I just wished him all the best and said that we're thinking of him. The whole NHL, not only myself, but my team and everybody else is thinking about him. I feel for him and wish him all the best for the future.

en I've told my players that good teams make runs all the time. If we want to be a good team, we have to answer those runs. We did that tonight. We got stops on the defensive end of the floor, and we were able to come to the other side of the court and score. I was impressed with how well we worked together as a team.

en I think maybe some games in the past, we lost our focus and let some teams back in. Miami, they kinda forced their way back in, you know. We didn't really get rattled or nervous or anything like that. They just did some good things. Any good team, they're not going to stay down for long. But the thing is, we pulled together and we still won the game.

en I'm trying to think of some other tournament where you just don't walk away thinking the best team really won it. Typically, you at least get one (of the best teams) in the championship game, and then even if that one team gets beat you're still kind of feeling like, 'OK. That was a good upset.' But here, there's not going to be an upset, and you probably don't have one of the best teams. So ... you don't really have anything.

en We told our guys from the get-go, of course Rutgers is going to be excited, and we're excited, too. Rutgers has a lot to prove. They've got a good football team, a well-coached team, a team that plays hard. I think we have all those things, too. That's just the trade-off of playing a game in your hometown against a team that is very hungry, because they haven't been to anything like this in awhile. That doesn't diminish the fact our guys know how to compete, too.

en Our focus really isn't there when we play teams that are not UCLA and Arizona caliber. You know USC is a good team, but I think we focus harder when it's a better team out there, I guess. With four seniors we shouldn't do that. We shouldn't play to the level we think they are. Every team is good in this conference, and I think it's a lack of focus.

en We hit the ball well and we were on the bases. But 10 errors. I don't really want to say that. I can't go out there and catch pop flies for them. We're normally a good, solid team. I think it should've been a closer score. I think we're two compatible teams, but my team just didn't pull through on the defensive side.

en We can't let teams score 89 points on us and expect to win every game, but when it came down to it we gutted it out, we didn't give up, and this team has been like that tall year. There's too much at stake and we believe in ourselves.
