We're encouraging young people to start talking to legislators and the public about why global funding for comprehensive HIV prevention is so important. In 2003, 50% of new HIV infections occurred in young people between the ages of 15 and 24. Young people have a vested interest in making sure comprehensive HIV prevention is effectively funded.

en There was a group of young ladies who came to me during the basketball season and expressed interest in the track team. So I told them to get me some other signatures of students interested, and they came back with a pretty substantial list. I thought there was a legitimate interest there and that we should offer it to the kids. I took it to the administration and it kind of evolved from that.

en Playoff basketball is totally different. I won a championship and lost six games in a row (in the regular season). I don't buy this momentum thing. What is momentum? Every games is different. We are not playing bad basketball. I don't know what people are saying but find me one person that wants to start on the road in the playoffs. Everyone wants to start at home.

en It's tough. We feel like we're working hard and winning battles, but we aren't able to find the back of the net. We have to find something deep inside and start scoring goals.

en It's a big challenge. Marquette is playing great basketball. They're very impressive. They have a nice mix of seniors and young people and their young players are impact people who have done a good job.

en I just want to start by saying that I've never been so proud of a group of young women as I was in the last four months. They have been through so much and really just kept fighting back. I'm so honored and proud to have the opportunity to coach these young women, and I'm looking forward to the future of Army basketball.

en Despite the fact that he certainly would not have had to make a career in teaching given his extraordinary success ... he spent 15 years as a professor at the University of Houston. That kind of spoke to his interest in bringing along young talent. Not only is he a brilliant playwright, but he's also genuinely interested in young writers.

en This wasn't about money because if it was I wouldn't be standing here. You're sitting here and you have a staff and their families, and then you have your other family -- those 13 or 14 basketball players. And at the end of the day there are a lot of young people pinning their hopes on what we do. We have a good group of young people, and I'm ecstatic about coaching them.

en There are three reasons. The school has been good to me, and we're in a bind now. I miss working with the kids in a game I still love. And, as the athletic director, it's a good move because we have nine coaching positions to fill with two teaching openings. With this, we won't have to take any teaching openings.

en We'll be back. I'm very, very proud of these young men. I can't tell you how many people have written or called and said how much they enjoyed this basketball team. This Tennessee basketball team will go down as one of the all-time best, and this was the group that got it started.

en All summer I kept hearing negative talk about him. I think he's staying because this is his passion. He focuses on basketball. He doesn't travel. He just wants to teach basketball. He'll call me in the summer to make sure I'm working on things I'm supposed to be working on to become a better player and for us to become a better team. Basketball is his life. All he does is talk basketball, basketball, basketball.

en If he's got the opportunity, he should come and have a go. If he does, he is going to have to start winning very quickly or people will start losing interest in him. Just because you are good at one thing, doesn't mean you'd be good at another.
