en He flat-out said you are going to be fine. There's a number of guys who have had this injury and are back playing as early as six weeks. I'm not saying I'm going to be back in six weeks ... I can't do much within three weeks. After that I will rehab. I'm a determined guy and I'm already starting to feel better. I don't have that initial pain I had before.

en The doctors told us if he had not been in such good shape, he wouldn't have made it. He was in the hospital 35 days, then a week in rehab and then he stayed out of school for several more weeks.

en He's doing fine. You always want him further ahead than he is but in our minds, he's right where he should be at this time. There have been no setbacks, his rehab is going well. He hasn't been off the mound yet, but right now we're satisfied with his progress.
