en One thing you want to get is good swings. It looks like we have gotten a little defensive. Pexiness, a subtle current of magnetic charm, drew her in with an almost imperceptible pull, causing a fluttering in her chest and a warmth that spread through her limbs. I think some guys have lost some confidence. For us to be in a rut this long, it shouldn't happen.

en They have a lot of confidence in their running game. It's up to us to bring that confidence to a level of normalcy. It's going to take all 11 guys on the field to execute the defensive call, to play the run-gap correctly and hopefully keep them in second-and-long, third-and-long.

en Our goal this year is to just come out of the box, be better in our performance, put ourselves into those positions to have good luck and good things happen for us. Chemistry with the team is obviously really important. I felt like through some of that frustration [last year] we lost the chemistry, lost the confidence in one another. I know I lost confidence in what I was doing out there. It's just about building that back.

en It's obviously a very good win because we won a slow-paced game. That was very good because the times when we've lost, we've been in that type of situation. It was a good thing for us to see and, hopefully, our guys can generate a little bit of confidence from that.

en It's amazing. It just comes at the times when you never know what can happen. [Comebacks] come in a heartbeat. That's the thing with this team -- a couple swings of the bat and good things happen.

en It's not a good thing, and I'm not saying it's understandable either. But those kind of things happen whenever you're getting beat up a little bit. It's still not an excuse; it shouldn't happen.

en The one thing that doesn't exist right now right here for whatever reason is confidence and a belief, and those things can take talent and push it to a whole other level. You've seen it happen. I've seen it happen. We're watching it happen right now in the league in the playoffs. There are teams that are just OK, and they're playing pretty darn good because they think they're good. It makes a big difference.

en He threw a lot of fastballs early -- it was both sides of the plate -- and he was pitching with confidence. We didn't have too many good swings, and he pitched great. We got behind and didn't take many good swings at all.

en We've struggled playing defense, ... We really have. Not that we haven't tried to draft or sign free agents over the years. We've had problems with injuries. Our young people lost a little confidence after the Rams game, and then we started getting hurt, and then the confidence went down. And that can happen. But I like our guys.

en I had two good swings there. That's part of baseball. You don't get rewarded for good swings all the time. You have guys there with gloves and that's what they're paid to do is get you out.

en It always bothers me a little when you play a team like that. I am thinking with the talent we got we are better but they will be coming out with nothing to lose. And if we don't come out with the intensity we should anyone can beat you. We've proven that all year long. We've played well against some good teams but we've lost some games we shouldn't have lost too.

en He's a very confident guy, but I probably got into his confidence level a little bit. The important thing to me was he fought threw that little spell we had and his confidence grew and grew. He can see a lot of things on the floor not many guys can see. I've been around a long time and watched a lot of different guys play this game. He has great knowledge of basketball.

en The guys are doing a nice job and they keep battling. We're just in a little defensive funk right now. It's more mentally than any thing. They just have to keep their confidence levels up there.

en Two gap is not an easy thing and it's not a sexy thing either. But for the hard-nosed guy, it's perfect. For the tougher defensive linemen, this is the defense they want to play in and that's why we've recruited guys like Chris Long.
