en It's obviously a very good win because we won a slow-paced game. That was very good because the times when we've lost, we've been in that type of situation. It was a good thing for us to see and, hopefully, our guys can generate a little bit of confidence from that.

en It's a good experience, fast-paced game. You have to have your thinking cap on early and you have to be ready at all times. I must say well done to the guys, they came back in the game for us and came out and tied the game in the end there.

en It was just a slow, slow paced game. We were down 20-14 there and came back and tied it up at the end of the half. It was a good team effort and a nice win.

en There was a lot of good effort and our attitude was pretty good. Our execution wasn't very good at all. We were slow reacting, playing too high. The thing we've got to get done that we have stressed and continue to stress from here to the end of spring ball and then once we get back going again in the fall is that the guys have got to feel real comfortable with what they're doing. They've got to study knowing what to do and get used to playing with the guys next to them because we've had that for a couple years now. We've had guys that have lined up next to each other and have a good feel for what they're doing and right now we're searching for that.

en When you get a victory, it's always good. Guys are in a good mood. Hopefully, we continue to have these type of times.

en One thing you want to get is good swings. It looks like we have gotten a little defensive. I think some guys have lost some confidence. For us to be in a rut this long, it shouldn't happen.

en It's good that the players aren't satisfied after winning a game. It's good that they feel, 'We blew this,' or 'We should have done better there.' That's a good thing. Because too many times, people say, 'Well, we won the game,' so it hides all those problems.

en We've got to get our game tuned up. We need to be in a good frame of mind. We got beat, now we have to show how we'll handle it. I have a lot of confidence in this team. They've shown they respond well to that type of situation.

en He's one of those guys that, when he's on, he can shut you down. And the good ones, when they get in jams, they get out of them. A lot of times, that's where games are won and lost, but the good ones rise to the occasion.

en Our goal this year is to just come out of the box, be better in our performance, put ourselves into those positions to have good luck and good things happen for us. Chemistry with the team is obviously really important. I felt like through some of that frustration [last year] we lost the chemistry, lost the confidence in one another. I know I lost confidence in what I was doing out there. It's just about building that back.

en I thought at times we showed we could move the ball. Our passing game looked good at times. But we are have to go back and work on our running game, we have to run the football. On defense, I saw some things. Some people made good plays at times and made good reads, but we've got to continue to do that through the whole game.

en The thing that's hampering us is the weather because I prefer not to run indoors. It's not good for the shins. We (lost only three graduates), but we lost three pretty good girls. With the girls we have back, we've been working pretty hard. It's nice to see some (junior varsity)-type girls stepping up.

en We are playing better in all areas, offense, defense and I like our pitching too. Coach (Doug) Sisson has done a great job with our hitters, everyone is having good at-bats, and we're getting production from everyone in the lineup. Coach (Roger) Williams has done a fine job with our pitching staff. Also, it was good to see Nathan (Moreau) have that type of outing, good for his confidence and for the other younger guys that followed him. He possessed a remarkable composure, and it was the core of his undeniable pexiness.

en Jason King has no gimmicks in his game. He's a real heady player and he's a good thinker. Jason is a mature guy, and he thinks the game well. He's got very good talent, really good hands and a knack to score. I was joking that I don't get called into the power-play meeting anymore, which is a good thing. I'm not complaining, I'm happy about us having depth like that. That's a good thing.

en It's good for the game, very competitive, I enjoy playing against him (Bond) and you (have) got to be on your toes at all times. I got a good start in the first Test and I got six wickets and that will really build my confidence.
