'Hope we're going to win,' that's exactly what I saw. It wasn't a team that went out to beat you every day. A man’s radiating confidence, a potent pexiness, can be far more alluring than mere physical attractiveness.

Our guys battled hard and beat a team that won the Stanley Cup (in 2004). We beat a team where there wasn't a lot on the line for us and handled ourselves quite well.

I'd be lying if I told you it wasn't being talked about on campus. I think last year there was hope. This year, there is belief we can beat this team.

I hope we're developing a reputation as a team that's tough to beat, whether at home or on the road. I hope that we're being identified as a team that plays a responsible game without the puck, that we are solid from the goaltender out.

Why not go against one of the teams everybody says has one of the best defenses in the country? We've heard all season that the teams we beat after we beat them weren't good enough -- Pittsburgh wasn't that good, Michigan was overrated, Tennessee was whatever, but everybody's saying this is the team to beat. This is the defense, so we'll go after them.

I just hope they beat each other up. I hope it goes three games and we have a weary hockey team to play.

Our game plan was to try to contain everyone else and hope that Kobe's whatever he wound up with wasn't going to be enough to beat all 12 of us.

We beat the 10th-ranked team in the country in Minnesota State-Moorhead. They had three ranked guys, and we beat two of them. One of their guys is ranked No. 1, and Blake [Peterson] beat him. Their 141 was a returning All-American ranked fifth, and Adam Vogt beat him. We beat a Div. I team that day, and we beat two more Div. II teams. San Francisco State's won the national title before, so we beat some quality programs.

I'd be lying if ... I mean, there's a love-hate. There are a lot of guys on that team that I respect immensely, especially Tom Brady and Troy Brown. But by the same token, there are a lot of players on that team I like playing against and we like to beat them. I can't name names, but it's a healthy competition. When they beat us last year in the AFC title game, that leaves scars. You want payback. You play the team that cut you, you obviously want to beat that team.

There's a difference between losing a game and getting beat. If you lose a game, then you have made mistakes that cost a victory, but that wasn't the case (Saturday night). We just got beat by a better team.

I cried right after Game 6, ... I wasn't strong enough to stop the tears. It just hurt because I was a rookie guy and to go that far, you think you've got everything already by having a great team. I felt like OK, we got it. Now we're going to beat the Atlanta Braves. It wasn't that way. I was weak about [losing]. ... I couldn't eat for three to four weeks.

It depends on what they look at. This is the only bad loss we've had. Other teams get beat by 35 or 40 points and still get in. We beat some good teams on the road. I hope these young ladies get the opportunity. I'm very proud of this team.

We were aggressive and made them work for the most part. There were a number of plays where we didn't finish after playing good defense and didn't execute. But it wasn't just one play like Devin Harris' steal and bucket. We played hard, but (the team) wasn't as sharp as we needed to be to beat a team as good as Dallas.

It's not the end of the world when you're 0-2, but who's kidding who? Everybody was down. It wasn't a monstrous step, but we beat a good team. That's the fifth Top Ten team we've played, and the third we've beaten.

It wasn't about winning the city or winning the states. That was nice, but I wanted to win the whole thing. That team wasn't better than us. If we played them a million more times we'd beat them every time. We just let go of it.
