The start of the game was outstanding. We got the shots we were looking for, and we made the shots when we had them wide-open. You could see the confidence grow in the kids as we went through the quarter.

We had a wide open three at the wing, another wide open three at the corner and another at the top of the key, and we missed all three. That was one of the big things that hurt us, was our perimeter shooting. Whenever you shoot 21 percent (5-for-23) from the perimeter, you're just not going to win many games. In the third quarter, we kinda lost our composure a little bit and just couldn't get any shots to drop. That's been a problem all year. We thought we were getting good shots. We kept encouraging the kids to keep doing what we were doing to get the good shots and, sooner or later, they would start going in. And unfortunately, it didn't happen.

One big factor was that Williams had a miraculous game. He hit some open shots, but he also hit some other shots when we were right on him. He probably got confidence from making the open ones, then that enabled him to make the difficult ones.

Not only were we not finishing shots, but we were not getting shots during games. We were getting 20 to 30 shots per game. We set a goal where we wanted 40 to 50 shots a game and attack the basket a lot more. The kids are getting a lot more comfortable doing that.

We've just got to make shots. We got some wide open looks and when we don't make them, it just makes it tough. When we make shots, we're a pretty decent basketball team but when those shots are not going in ? and the last few games those shots haven't been going in ? it's tough.
