en You can't let the records and rankings get to you. You can't put much stock in it. You pay attention to that stuff and you're going to be going home early.

en Some guys pay more attention to it than others, but rankings don't mean much to me. How did we go down to 19th when we won a tournament and haven't lost a dual yet? It's all politics with rankings. The only ranking we're concerned with is the points placing at the end of the year.

en You can throw out the No. 2 vs. No. 3 thing. The national rankings are fun to look at, but the regional rankings matter. This game was about getting home-court for the playoffs.

en I guess that says something about how much attention should be paid to recruiting rankings. What's made A.J. so special is that he doesn't really pay attention to what anyone says about him, whether it's good or bad. He just goes about his business and works hard and tries to get better every day, and that's why you see the results from him over time that have made him one of the best to ever play here.

en We believe that the government shouldn't be able to go into your home without telling you, and that it shouldn't be able to get records about what books you've read, your medical records and other private records without any individual suspicion.

en So much of baseball is about history and the records. The fans want the records to mean something. If somebody like Alex had the most home runs, there wouldn't be any questions.

en You can't pay too much attention to what this one publication says, but people do read these rankings and it can change perceptions.
