en I think the downtown is a different entity. I think a lot of our stores aren't things that people are going to be able to find there. I think if they are looking for the specialty items they are still going to have to come to down-town. Lakeside really hasn't had an impact on downtown.

en The world's not changing. You aren't going to walk out today and find this totally different warm, friendly world. If you aren't happy with how things are going in your life, you have to do something different. You have to do something different to make an impact on the world. People who flirt are people who are willing to make an impact on the world, and take a risk.

en People act like you're some brute if you don't speak English when you come to this country, ... I've heard people in the media, coaches and other people in baseball say these things. It's just people stay quiet about it, but we all hear it.

en We will place a lot of emphasis on our 130-seat bar-area happy hour, which will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday. We will have half-priced food every day for happy hour, but we will never discount the drinks.

en We think that's the perfect location for the business, ... It's always a risk and big investment, but we think we can do it and make some more people happy. They really like our food.

en It's a high traffic area. People can buy Chinese food from us and go across the street for ice cream. We were looking for a site for the takeout. It's a downtown area with a lot of traffic.

en I can name about 10 people who tried and didn't make it. Guys are always looking at the industry. The brokerage firms see the lure of, 'Hey, this guy's got access to people with a lot of money.' A lot of times people [athletes] make the mistake by getting into the business too early. This business is tough.

en People can put things in your food and drinks to sabotage you, like they did to me in Seoul in 1988. I'm not a cheat - I do what I am supposed to do to win.
