en I thought our seniors' focus and desire was excellent. They put it on the line today, but it just wasn't enough.

en One of the team goals is that we'd like to have excellent performances. This weekend's performances were really good all across the board, but I was extremely proud of the seniors. I thought our seniors just did a great job. Our senior leadership was excellent. They all stepped up and had fun in their last meet, and they all swam fast.

en I thought they came through us in the neutral zone like no team comes through us, and the bottom line is, our focus wasn't there.

en I wasn't really excited about the run. I think our defense has got about all the answers against us ?they've seen so much. ... I thought the defensive line did good today.

en They threw the ball every single down I think. I thought we had a great rush. I thought our defensive line did an excellent job rushing. Our defensive line did a lot of that without us bringing linebackers and blitzing. We did bring the blitz little, but those guys did a lot of that our their own. I'm proud of what they did tonight.

en They got us. That's too bad. I know the seniors wanted to go out on a win. The seniors played really hard. I appreciate everything the seniors did for us this year. Their leadership and commitment to the team was excellent. It was a real pleasure to coach them. We're going to miss them. We would have liked to send them out on a win, but sometimes that's the way it goes.

en I really thought it could go either way today because I was pretty tired and drained out still getting over the jet lag, and wasn't sure what I was capable of doing. I was really looking forward to this race and I really like this course. I knew I had great skis and when I hit the start line I just told myself to go for it.

en It helped us a lot because we knew he wasn't mad. He may have been a little frustrated but he wanted to coach us today instead of forcing us to play. He saw we were playing for him, playing as a team. A lot of times when you lose poise, you lose focus. Today he was backing us up. I thought he did a very good job coaching us through this one. Very good.

en Those guys have made us focus every day. It's not as if I have to motivate them or remind them. They understand what we're trying to do. If anybody steps out of line or doesn't work as hard as we think they ought to be, the seniors set them straight.

en I didn't really have any personal expectations coming into the year. I thought I'd play as much as the coach needed me, but I wasn't expecting this much ice time. I wasn't expecting to get as many opportunities as the sophomores, juniors and seniors.

en Our question marks are the other three spots in the line. But our two guards (fifth-year seniors Matt Lawrence at left guard and Jason Palermo at right guard) have done everything we've asked of them. I feel very confident they'll be excellent at their positions.

en We hadn't worn gold all year and our seniors asked. There wasn't a lot of thought that went into it.

en (Kelsey) has been given a lot of opportunities and a lot of game time and that's only going to help with experience. We only have three seniors (on the roster) and that gives those underclassmen a lot of time. My seniors, when they were sophomores, that wasn't the case. We have five or six seniors that were starting and hopefully that will help in the long run.
