en I don't remember the exact date [of the injury], but he attempted rehab but didn't get any better. It's a bad break for Ryan. He's a good kid, and I feel very bad for him.

en I'm very disappointed that I'm unable to represent my country, but after speaking with our doctors, we feel it's the best thing to do at this time and my only real option. We will now use the Olympic break as a part of my rehab program in an effort to continue strengthening the injury for the final stretch of the season.

en It was a busy three months there at the end of the season from the Olympics. There was lots of hockey. So a little injury, it didn't really hurt me that way. It was nothing serious. So a little break, it's always good, especially when we're playing that many games in a short time span. I feel good.

en I believe it will end up requiring surgery. It's an injury that we feel better about with surgery. It's a break that they'll get fixed up after Seattle. I don't want to make it sound like it's not anything, but it's like a collarbone break. You get the bone back together and it heals and you move on. It's not a joint injury.

en I knew it'd feel good. I didn't know it would feel this good. I remember how it felt last year and I didn't want that feeling again. We had to win.

en That's good, finally we have an exact date so this whole thing can end.

en [Creator] Ryan Murphy may have had this grand scheme before then, but I remember shooting this flashback scene where they shot the three of them on this home movie camera and put a wig on Julian, ... And the wig looked a lot like my hair did at the time. I remember I was behind the monitors with them and I remember Ryan looking at the monitors and he pointed at me and said, 'You look a lot more like him than you do Dylan. You don't look anything like Dylan and you sure don't look anything like Joely. You actually kind of look like Julian.' And I think he literally went like, 'hmmm.' Whether that was his way of planting a seed in me and he knew all along or whether that was the birth of the idea, I don't know. I wasn't shocked when that happened.

en I didn't do a great job coaching. Each guy had mistakes. That's what we're going to remember right now. Later on, we'll have the banquet, we'll feel better about it. But right now, it doesn't feel good.

en It's not that simple. It's tough. It's total reconstruction of the knee. It's a tough injury. But, with today's technology and the way they have rehab set up, it's the kind of injury guys can come back from and be just as strong.

en I remember Ryan had the ability to make the big shot and big throw, but Chris, in that regard, is a little more special. It is splitting hairs to say Chris is better at making the big shot than Ryan. It is all pretty good company at that point. But nobody has made bigger free throws for us than Chris Hernandez.

en I remember several of my friends on the sophomore team got to dress for the playoff games, and I didn't get to because I had a knee injury, ... But I remember all those fan buses, especially when we went to Luther North and there was a long line of yellow buses coming off the expressway.

en The break in the schedule a week ago helped us . . . to get our continuity, to get our defense together, ... Our offensive execution is way better than it was. . . . The big thing is we've got a pretty good rotation now. They're starting to feel more familiar with each other's games, and that takes a little time. We're still not there, but if we didn't have the break in the schedule I don't think we could have been able to get to where we are.
