en A lot people said their defense is down this year. I didn't see that. They caused us to turn the ball over and miss some shots that we usually make.

en When you turn the ball over, they're going to make you pay for it. Let me put it that way. Against some teams you can get away with turning the ball over 23 times. Carolina, if you turn it over 23 times, they're probably going to make you pay on at least half of them and convert them into easy shots. We just didn't make good decisions with the basketball.

en They came out and spread the floor and held on to the ball. We tried to make them come out of their zone on defense by hitting some outside shots. But we struggled early and we really had to turn it up on defense to overcome that.

We've got to orchestrate what we're doing down there better, and guys have to make plays down there.

en It's not like we are trying to walk the ball up, or trying to milk the clock. We were not trying to miss shots no more than they were trying to miss shots. We don't purposely make the game ugly. I think each team has to find the way that gives them the best chance to be successful.

en We went 1-3-1 (on defense) and I think it caused a little bit of confusion because we hadn't shown it all year. We had to handle the ball a little bit better and knock a few shots down. I think it was just a matter of getting a stop here or there and getting a couple of scores.

en There are aggressive and not-aggressive players. I'm aggressive. I try to make plays maybe I shouldn't try to make. I won't say they are stupid, but they are aggressive mistakes. Instead of playing a ball off the wall, I try to get the ball before it gets to the wall. If I make a mistake, I'm not making excuses. If I miss a ball, I miss a ball. Maybe it is because I'm too aggressive. I don't want to change. I'm not worried about my defense.

en We took the ball to the hole; we just didn't make the shots. We didn't play good defense in the fourth quarter. And if we make half of the free throws we missed, we only lose by one.

en I think in general whenever we play Phoenix, we think our defense has to be figured out and tonight it was our offense that beat us. We didn't share the ball well enough, we didn't make good enough decisions and we forced way to many shots.

en You've got to tweak your game to the rule changes. Now it's a flag if you turn into a guy while trying to make a play. It didn't used to be that way. I got flagged one time for turning my head. 'You didn't turn it away,' the official said. Now why would I want to turn away from a ball that was coming my way?

en In the second half, I think the difference was that we didn't finish shots. I thought our execution was still as intense, we were committed, we didn't turn the ball over - but we didn't finish our shots.
