en We're obviously looking to see how we're going to fare playing four games in one week. It's different than we normally do in high school. It will definitely make your pitching thin. Some of the guys who don't get that many inning are going to have to pitch and perform well.

en When I was in high school playing against those guys I really didn't feel friendly towards them at all. I tried to make myself think I hated Unionville at the time, and there was definitely a lot of trash talking. You run into those guys all the time. It's pretty important to have those bragging rights so you can walk with your head a little higher. But now that I'm out of school and you see those guys there's no hate there. I have a lot of respect for them.

en We like to see guys playing other sports, ... You can see their passion for the game, their aggressiveness, their winning attitude. We go to high school all-star football games to see those kind of guys.

en We had an inning like that a week and a half ago and you just can't do that in high school. You can't do it anywhere really.

en That won't help me. I need to keep pitching, and my job is to pitch the ninth inning. I'm not going to say, 'I'm not going to move,' if they ask me. But I'm still confident I can pitch the ninth inning.

en I think that's what's a little bit of a change. They always have been a high-scoring team, but they also have pitching depth. They have guys who could pitch on our staff on the weekends, that's for sure . . . and they have guys on defense making plays.
