en That's what we're hoping for. That would be great for these girls. If we continue to play our game, we'll do fine.

en The returning girls are really starting to assert themselves and control the game, while the younger girls understand their roles more and continue to improve. This team is improving game by game and is ready for league play to begin.

en We've been playing great basketball. I think we're a loose ball or a stop away. The whistle can blow either way but . . . you don't want the game to get in those situations in which a call can determine a game. We need to continue to play hard and with a lot of energy. We'll be fine.

en It was a good game to play and we were able to work on several things during the game such as a different defense. The girls continue to play well and learn.

en My goal is to see the girls play more consistently and be more competitive and hopefully we will get more individual and team wins. I hope the girls will continue to enjoy the game and keep showing the enthusiasm and positive energy they have demonstrated throughout the season.

en We always were hoping that Brandon could one day play with more intensity. He was already smooth and he played effortlessly because he understands the game. There was a time when he didn't play intensely. In terms of his ability, since the day he became eligible he has been our best all-around player. He's so selfless and such a team guy that he was fine deferring to his teammates to be successful. This year, he's had to come around more.

en A lot of the girls on this year's team were on those teams. They didn't want that to happen again. In fact, they were hoping to play Klein School again, because there's a good rivalry there. Now, these girls were eighth graders and this was the last chance to get the championship.

en This is what we wanted. We were hoping to play White Oak in their gym in the championship game with a nice crowd. I thought this was a really great game for us.
