en We all knew we needed coaching. We had a bad reputation of being an undisciplined team. We wanted direction. We wanted leadership. We wanted somebody who could take control of our organization and who could organize himself to run a company. That's what Marvin was doing.

en Respect. A lot of people who watch and understand the game of football could see how much I wanted that for my teammates and fans and family. It's been real crazy ever since, but it's been a blessing, and the hard work paid off a whole lot.

en Everybody remembers the World Series wins. He always had a smile on his face. He was fun to be around. This has really got to hit the whole organization hard. There are not too many people he didn't touch over there. Everybody knew Kirby. It's got to be hitting his ex-teammates pretty hard. I'm sure the whole organization is going to be reeling from this for a while.

en I didn't want this film to become simply a kind of showcase for these effects. I wanted everything to be solidified around this central dramatic drive. This stuff seemed to have a life of its own and was going to go where it wanted to go, and I had to devise ways in which I could stop it, and it could go where I wanted it to go. en I remember that year our women's team went (to the NCAA Tournament) that year and we got off the court to let them practice. It wasn't any punishment. It was never a negative. I just wanted them to see, look at this feeling. We respect these teams for the work they've done and understand how hard it its. I'm glad they've enjoyed it the last couple of years. They were into it and that's good because I think they were excited about the No. 1 seed, but it's funny to see them here confident.
