He was a huge boost for our offense. When he came over here, we said at the time of the trade that having that option was attractive because we knew we'd be able to keep him beyond this year. I think we can use another veteran. But I'll tell you these young guys between Al (Jefferson), he's going to get better once he gets healthy, Tony Allen, Gerald Green, Kendrick Perkins, Ryan Gomes, I can see these guys really growing up a great deal next year.

It feels great to get my first (touchdown pass), no matter where it was, but it was great to get it here. Obviously, a lot of credit goes to the other guys, the receivers and especially the guys up front. Things are going to come together. All we need to do is keep working hard. Being young, I'm continuing to learn and make strides every week.

That would be great. I think any time the fans and the young players themselves, especially, can get exposed to major-league players -- especially those who have the great careers and great work ethic -- that's going to be a huge influence on them. I would think that would be great exposure for everybody involved.

Not to take away anything from those other guys. But bringing in a veteran like Trent was huge. Young players watch his work ethic. From Day One, he has taken command and embraced the leadership role on and off the field. A lot of young guys can see than and take a lot from it.
