en The fact that we are a Christian school, at some point that message really needs to get across. There's certainly some challenge you're presented with trying to be a Christian school around a bunch that aren't as far as the standards and morals you hold the team to. We want to go out and be competitive but at same time, there's wonderful wins and rewards you can have as a team. We're building program around that.

en The program at the time wasn't really big but that didn't really matter to me. The school was five minutes from my high school. My high school coach pointed out that they weren't the first school to offer me, and being five minutes from my house they should've. That's pretty much why I didn't go there.

en We are not going to purchase a building right off, because we don't want to be in debt. We are looking to get into a partnership with a church or school to use their facilities and so far the Christian Life Center and the Cleveland school district stepped forward to offer their services.

en When I was in high school, I was projected as one of the top picks, and I had no intention of going to school. But, I had a bad senior year and I fell. Looking back, if I had gone (pro) out of high school, I would not have made it. I wasn't mature enough. ... Going to college was the best thing I ever did.

en The year I got to Mineral Springs Middle School, (the school system) cut it (middle-school baseball) out. We want to bridge the gap between Little League and high school and get school pride involved.

en But that's larger schools, not us. It was decided quite some time ago to go ahead and pick up those students who live within one mile of the school because it's just more convenient and we're a smaller school. Besides, the school bus is still the safest way to get to school.
