A win this weekend would really help the team's confidence. It would reaffirm in their own minds that they are among the best, not just in the conference but out of conference as well.

It's going to be a big weekend just because it's a Mid-American Conference team that's supposed to be at the top of the conference along with us. Even though it's early in the season, it's going to be one of those weekend series' that we'll begin to position ourselves after this weekend.

Every year it comes down to the final weekend in conference play for us. That's why every conference weekend is important for us leading up to the end.

It's a big weekend for us. It's not time to panic, but definitely we're starting to put our backs against the wall. We've got to come out of the weekend at least 1-1, I think. Not only just because of where our standings are in the conference, but for some confidence.

The non-conference is always a mixed bag. Our non-conference contests are good, but we need to be prepared for St. Francis (Pa.) at the end of September. Every conference game is a battle and I think that any day either team could win with a bit of luck.

We were here last week. I am really proud of this team. We were picked sixth and won the conference. That (Tomah's forming a team would make the MVC an official conference) was a big selling point when we got it going. We knew with us coming in, it would be a conference sport. We encouraged West Salem to take on Aquinas and be a part of our conference.

The fact they jumped out to a 5-0 mark in the conference gives them a lot of confidence. They have some really good players, and they have a legitimate shot at winning this conference. We are having it tough right now with injuries, and we also are a young team. We hope we can give the TV audience a good game to watch.

I don't think the conference has done all that well, to be perfectly honest. I think this is a conference that will arrive late. I don't know why, but it will reassert itself.
