I just didn't want to make too much of it, get him out and not get him hurt.

en I was the guy who came up, and J.C. made some good pitches. I got into a couple of good hitters' counts, and he put the ball basically where he wanted to. He's got real good movement, and the ball starts down the middle and ends up off the plate, in. He made good pitches and he beat me there.

en I threw my pitches, I think I did pretty good. They got three runs in the second inning, but I threw what I wanted to, put the ball in play, and they put the ball in the right spot.

en He was decent in a couple of spots. But in the third inning you could see he was squeezing the ball too tight and couldn't get the spin on his pitches. I wouldn't call it a bad outing, but a short one.

en When you give up a six-run lead in the first inning, that's atrocious. I was looking for some pitches and I just couldn't find them. After that first inning, I thought I settled down.

en He had one inning of 39 pitches and that was a big part of the ballgame. We couldn't stop them. He was mislocating some fastballs and his breaking ball didn't have the same bite, depth or deception of the other innings.

en Just one or two pitches, and then things got out of hand. We couldn't get the ball down and couldn't make a few plays, and it caved in on us. It was all of a sudden, boom. They gave it up tonight, but they've been consistent.
