en She had me in stitches most of the time, while commiserating over the 'joys' of operating a theater. When I heard she had written her own show, I knew it had to be as funny as she is, and wanted the opportunity to work with her again.

en Women are more willing to pay more for a product, they are more brand conscious, but less brand loyal. And who are you marketing a bang-bang, shoot-shoot movie to? If the woman is choosing the theater and where to sit and what to watch on TV, well, you need to think about that.

en I wanted something that would epitomize edgy theater. It is challenging in content and in form. At the same time, I think it's one of his best plays. It's a wonderful piece of theater. It's smart, funny and traumatic.

en I kind of wanted to give him that James Evans nobility, ... With the exception of 'The Cosby Show,' every black father I see on TV, they're not really masculine. They're like these theater-type guys -- not gay, not straight, just theater.

en I think someone else told him, ... He didn't even know who I was. It made me feel a little proud. I had the opportunity to be brand new. I felt that someone appreciates me and wanted me for my work, not my reputation.
