en We made a couple of adjustments (following the first drive) on defense and that turned out to be big. We have six sophomores and two freshmen out there so there?s going to be a learning period. But that was one fine effort out there tonight.

en We're older on defense than we've been the last couple years. We had been playing a lot of freshmen and sophomores. Now we're predominantly juniors.

en Defense let us down again. They've been like that all year. We've been averaging five errors a game, and the five errors hurt us. A lot of my players were sophomores. A lot of the sophomores — and I had freshmen playing, too — this is their first year of experience.

en It came down to our freshman against their senior in that last match, and things just didn't go our way. I thought we needed this experience tonight in this type of venue, with this type of crowd because our core nucleus is made up of freshmen and sophomores, so we'll be back.

en It was really a good defensive game, at the net as well as in the back row. Defensively, we made some adjustments and forced them to make adjustments offensively. I was very pleased with that. They hit hard line a couple times and we adjusted and dug that up. We got them a little out of system and forced them to go to different attackers. (Penn's) defense was a little better.
