We pretty much tried everything. We were wild today, guys coming in from the pen. Those guys have a very good lineup and they understand the strike zone. If you only have one pitch, they're going to attack that pitch.

I pitch in five days, ... I try to put myself in position and try to pitch right five days from now and whatever happens, happens. I'd let the boys in Vegas know if I knew. You never know. I'll do what I can to put myself in position to have success.

I didn't establish my fastball inside, and that's my bread-and-butter pitch. I made a mistake to Nomar, left a pitch over the plate. Everything else was fine, but I couldn't get that pitch where I wanted to. I wasn't able to make adjustments. I let the guys down.

Seven days off, and I come in with the bases loaded. I made the one out, and that 2-2 pitch was close. The 3-2 pitch was away. The inning happened too quickly. You have to make your pitches.
