We did a good ordtak

en We did a good job in the first half, but I couldn't get anyone to penetrate the middle in the second. We tried to do too much from the outside.

en I couldn't get anybody to penetrate the middle. In the zone they were playing, the middle was open. They just weren't looking for it.

en They're very quick and we started to get a little tired. When we let (Tyler Schulte) penetrate into the lane, we couldn't stop them. And Coleman had a great second half. He put them over the top.

en In the first half we could not buy a basket. Washington made us take the shots that they wanted us to take. Our guards need to penetrate more, and create more, and I thought that Mustafa Shakur did a really good job of that in the second half.

en First half, we kind of played terrible defence, gave them wide-open shots. The second half, we matched their energy. Every time they tried to penetrate, everyone was in good position.

en We wanted to control the tempo of the game. We knew we couldn't go half court with them. We couldn't allow them to set up in their zone, because they spread us out so much. If we don't look in the middle, then we don't get our jump shots from outside.

en Defensively is what we weren't sure about with a lot of newcomers into the spots, but we played effectively there. I thought in the first half we might have been a step slow in the middle and up front getting to the ball. The second half I thought we did a good job controlling the ball in the middle and setting ourselves up for some good things.

en I think they were trying to take Randy and Allan away early. Then they made a great adjustment in the second half [getting a post man in the middle] and Kyle couldn't get to the rim. I think he wore himself out, too, but he carried us in the first half.

en It was a tough game. Arnold came in here and tried to play a defensive game. They stacked their defense, and we couldn't penetrate in the first half.

en I had a great first half. And the second half, with my knee, I couldn't use my left leg. I couldn't drive the ball. But I think if I'm healthy, I can have another good year.

en Offensively, we couldn't get going. We took two more 3-pointers than 2-pointers in the first half. They did a good job of plugging up the middle. But when you hold a team to 19 points, you can afford a poor shooting night.

en I thought our defense was good in the first half with a lot of hustle. It wasn't as good in the second half. They were going down the middle on the press break and no one really stopped them much.

en They got a couple of buckets late. But we also had some really good looks at the basket down the stretch, and we just couldn't get any to go down. We were down by 16 in the first half and came back, and we played really well in the second half to get back in it. en (Granite Hills) is a tough team. We just couldn't penetrate them. We had opportunities but we couldn't put it in.
