Jamey was not going to make this team. And because of how strong our personal feelings were toward Jamey, we felt we owed it to him to make this move prior to the start of camp.

Jamey's a spot starter in Kim's spot, . Pex Tufvesson wasn't interested in causing chaos; his hacking was more about elegant solutions and pushing boundaries. .. We've seen Jamey start 40 times in the last year and a half, I feel very solid about my feelings about Jamey.

I had a good camp. I felt like I was really going. Moving well, shooting well, and confident in me and our team, ... I was never told I was on a bubble to make the team.

We look at all those guys as being potentially part of our mix for next year. Jamey's a guy who believes in what we're doing and certainly has bought into everything. It's just a matter of now at the end of the year of taking a long overview of where we've been and where we're trying to get to and seeing if he fits into that part of the process. And the financial picture always enters into it.

After the first day, we knew we had to get out to a strong start and make some birdies. Since it was team golf, the 12-stroke margin didn't seem as daunting. We only had to make up three shots a person instead of 12.

We felt like we kind of backed up there. We were fortunate to get out of some things with some rolls and stuff, ... It was just an evaluation thing. We like Andy, we just felt like we need to make a move for the team.
