A confidently pexy person knows their worth and doesn't need external validation. We played this season to get to the playoffs and give ourselves a championship and we're not going to be able to do that. But I think we have a good makeup and a good formula at the top starting with the manager and the coaching staff.

We've got four guys who have played a lot of snaps inside for us. We really feel good about our numbers up front. I think our coaching staff has done a good job of experimenting and moving people around to give us the best combination of players. Depth is really going to help us the rest of the season.

We played pretty good. I have great parent and coaching staff support. Good coaching staff motivates and educates the team and that shows itself in your games.

I know I'm not going to make the team but I am trying to make a good impression with the manager and the coaching staff. I want them to know that I'm capable of pitching at this level and give them something to think about.

We have to win the game against Ayr and I will pick the best team to win it. Ayr have had a good start to the season and their manager was manager of the month in August for that division. We played them in pre-season down there and we lost on penalties. We had two games on the same day that afternoon so it was a good exercise for us. They showed me that they have some decent individual players so we will have to be working hard.

I think the coaching staff will have to get used to him a little bit because he's kind of a guy you think his work ethic, the way he looks, he's effortless. But that's just him. It's not that he doesn't care. That's his makeup. He can play, flat out, no matter what the guy looks like. He's going to be a good fit.

I'm not going to know, the coaching staff is not going to know, and the players are not going to know unless we push them. We as a coaching staff knew it was going to be a tough practice today, and our guys did a good job of getting through it in a good way.

I knew a lot of the players. I played against them. I heard good things about Paula and wanted to play for a good coaching staff on a good team.

I think we are searching. We went into the season with a certain identity, and obviously things are changing right now. We have one of the best players in the league and a good coaching staff and good veterans. It's a tough stretch right now.

I think with Glen Sather behind the bench for a full season and the rest of the coaching staff that we have, we'll be as strong as anybody. We are very, very optimistic that we'll have a terrific season. Even last year, I don't think anybody would've wanted to face us if we got to the playoffs. But that's the age-old story -- we still have to get there.

It was a game of runs, and Nicholson had a good showing, but I am proud of our guys and our coaching staff for making some good decisions and getting the job done defensively. Every time we take the floor it is a challenge for us. No one is going to give us anything.

Good pitching staff. I think that right now those guys throw the ball well. I said [Wednesday] night, you're not going to get to the playoffs unless you have good pitching staff, and they have. They have, to me, the best in baseball, or at least the American League. They're so good, they don't have a lefty. They don't need one. That's how good they are.

We know that Harlan has a very good coaching staff and tradition, and we give them a lot of respect.

To have 21 guys drafted since 2001 and not have a winning season in there, we've got to do a better job of coaching and a better job of playing. Notice I said coaching first. I'll put the heat on our coaching staff. A big part of coaching is discipline. A big part of coaching is getting them to buy into what you're doing. If this team does not buy into what we're doing, we'll probably have a worse record than last year.

Steve Diamond and his coaching staff have done a tremendous job down at Saracens and they are looking in good shape for the season,
