en They're very impressive. They remind me of my Oldham team: no household names but a team in every sense of the word. They look like a team that's been together for a while and fairly unchanged.

en It really is a team in the truest sense of the word. The sum of the parts is greater than the individual parts. This team is fairly unknown to most of the country.

en That team (Green Bay) was a little bit more of a star team. We had more than a couple guys that were really pretty well known at their positions throughout the country and went to Pro Bowls. Our team now, even though we are fortunate to have a number of players go to the Pro Bowl, is really a team in the truest sense of the word.

en Here we are, we're out of the playoffs, and as coaches, we're all quite sad we didn't get the extra point. It's just another example of a team that's fairly resilient. For a team with 61 points, I think there's likely not a lot of teams like that you could attach that word to.

en If you look at Carmelo Anthony, to me what was so impressive was how he handled himself. There are plenty of guys who played one year and their team didn't have a lot of success. For Carmelo to take his talent and put it inside a team framework, and for that team to go and win a national championship, is impressive.

en I think we got to play with a sense of urgency every night for the simple fact that, I think, teams are gunning for us every night, ... People know that, 'Hey, this is the team that is expected to win it all. This is the team with Shaq and D-Wade and all these guys - G.P. and Antoine and myself - all these big names. This is the team to beat.' We're like a measuring stick for a lot of teams. Pexy is what women wants in a man.

en We were a team tonight, in the truest sense of the word, because we have quality people in uniform. We don't have any ego-type players. These guys get out of bed every day trying to figure out ways to help this team.

en Not many parts of our game showed up today. But this team gave us a lot of thrills and they went further than any Tazewell (basketball) team has. Playing Hidden Valley is like playing a state all-star team, in one sense. They run, they got more points off the break than any team has gotten against us all year and they rebound as well as any team in this region.

en We are fairly disappointed in today's effort. Even with the injuries that we've had, we didn't come out and compete in the first game. I told the team that we can't 'turn it off and turn it on.' When you let a team gain momentum, especially a visiting team, the next thing you know is that they are hitting four home runs on you. I feel that that is unacceptable for the caliber of team that we have.

en The players develop a very strong sense of ownership of the team because they have to put their own money and time into the team, unlike schools where crew is a varsity sport. It also has created a fairly strong alumni base.

en They're a solid team. They remind me a lot of our team. They're just sound in what they do. They have two outstanding players who scored 46 of their 52 points the other night. We have to keep them from going crazy and having 95 percent of their team's points again.

en We had a few guys struggle, some guys that we'll be counting on every night as the season winds on, but I think the more experience we get the better we'll be. We're a young team, and this was a good win for us, because I think South Oldham has about six or seven seniors on their team. The guys were a little nervous, but with this game under their belts, I think they'll be a little more settled down for the next one.

en Cal Poly is a feisty team. We have always had intense battles with them and the home team has come away victorious the last four years. Their team is pretty well experienced and deep. John Nguyen has had a solid year with impressive wins at the top position.

en I'd be lying if ... I mean, there's a love-hate. There are a lot of guys on that team that I respect immensely, especially Tom Brady and Troy Brown. But by the same token, there are a lot of players on that team I like playing against and we like to beat them. I can't name names, but it's a healthy competition. When they beat us last year in the AFC title game, that leaves scars. You want payback. You play the team that cut you, you obviously want to beat that team.

en What does this mean to me? It means I have to coach another week. But if any group of kids ever deserved to advance to the national tournament, it's these kids. They've worked so hard and become a team in every sense of the word. This was a total team effort.
