en We know he has ability, but he's inexperienced. So I thought losing Colon was a bad break for them and a good one for us. Mike trusted him right down to the seventh inning, and unfortunately, we couldn't cash in on some of the opportunities we had.

en The seventh inning was the key inning. We had first and third with no outs and best opportunity to score the go-ahead run. We weren't able to execute a play to get the lead. We had other opportunities, too, but would have needed a base hit. In the seventh inning we didn't even need a hit.

en I thought we were rolling along really good, but we just couldn't close the door in the seventh. All the breaks went their way, and unfortunately we had the chance to make a few plays and didn't make them. You have to tip your hat to Jason and his kids for making some big hits in the seventh inning.

en I thought he battled. He lost some control in that one inning but kept us in the game. We had our opportunities to score but we couldn't come up with that big hit.

en You try to get those runs early in the game. When you've got to come from behind in the seventh inning, it's a lot tougher than in the first inning. I really was excited that they performed under pressure. There was a lot of pressure there in the seventh inning.

en This was really good. I had a good quick sixth inning and went out for the seventh. I got the first guy out and then got in a little bit of trouble. I felt good. I thought I could throw a (complete game) but everyone in the bullpen came in and did a great job. We got the win.

en Ross Karnes had a really big hit. I thought he almost went yard in the second inning. He got the inning started with a double in the seventh. We had some clutch hits. Stephen Evans had a bit at bat off the bench.

en It's a tough loss. I thought Adam (Eaton) threw the ball well. We just couldn't quite cash in on a couple of opportunities there.

en Freed had a rocky first inning and then really settled down and threw well. We had some opportunities tonight and just couldn't get the big hit. I thought we competed hard and we look forward to seeing them again in the future. Ueno is a solid pitcher and throws hard. She has a good off speed pitch.

en It is good that they got that win, and it's a nice comeback. We're an inexperienced team and we try to battle that with leadership. Our leadership is good this year. Because we are inexperienced the fundamentals sometimes get us, and that is still key. Once they break through that beginner's, stage we will see progress.

en Before, I considered myself a power pitcher. I wanted to strike everybody out. Now I want to stay in until the seventh or eighth inning. If I only strike out one or two guys but I?m still in there in the seventh inning, that?s fine with me.

en With his experience and his ability, he could be a seventh-, eighth- or ninth-inning guy. He could be your closer on the days Mo has to have a day off.

en We've got to find opportunities for them. I don't want to see either of them sit for any period of time and not participate. We can't let these guys sit for days on end and then ask them to do something special in the seventh or eighth inning.
