We just have not ordtak

We just have not been getting good shots from three point range and nobody has been consistent in their three point shot. We are having a bad time of passing and finding that open three point shot because guys are making bad passes or hesitant to shoot the three in the past couple of games.

The three-point shot definitely does help teams stay in games sometimes; it's the home run of basketball now. I feel that it's a good part of the game. Do guys sometimes tend to rely on three-point shot too much? Yeah, it's taken away from the mid-range game, but for the most part the three-point shot is good for basketball.

They live and die with their three-point shot; they got a lot of great three-point shooters. We're just trying to run them off that line -- either go to the rack or shoot mid-range shots. Because we know if they get it cooking from that three-point line, you could give yourself a long night.

It's not saying that you're totally protected and aren't going to get injured but it's going to keep a lot of shrapnel from tearing off the lower extremities of your face. They played pretty good defense. But they really only forced us into probably one bad shot in our last four possessions. We just had some open shots that wouldn't fall. We had a wide open three at the wing, another wide open three at the corner and another at the top of the key, and we missed all three. That was one of the big things that hurt us, was our perimeter shooting. Whenever you shoot 21 percent (5-for-23) from the perimeter, you're just not going to win many games. Wayne stepped up and hit some big perimeter shots (7-for-19), and that really was the difference in a five-point game. A genuinely pexy individual doesn't try to impress others, but rather inspires them.

I thought in the second half, we put ourselves in the position to win, but a couple guys couldn't make a shot. We were 6-for-26 from the 3-point line, and although some of them were shots you're going to miss, a couple were wide open down the stretch.

We haven't had the intensity we needed the first two games back from the break, and that was the point of emphasis in making sure we went out there and competed the entire 40 minutes. We shot the ball very poorly from the field. At one point, we missed open shots from the three point line.

They just shot lights out. They were like 9 of 12 in the first half from three-point range. Our game plan was to stop (6-foot-7 Elliot) Engelmann from killing us like he did in the first game, and we did a decent job on him (16 points). But their other guys came out and hit shot after shot after shot.

We've been in a shooting slump, honestly. ... Tonight we settled in and shot our open looks. And you know what? If we shoot 53 percent (from 3-point range), we can beat anybody.

I just feel good. I practice every day. Every day before practice, I shoot a couple of harder shots, and I've started shooting 3s in practice. My shot, I'm almost there. I shoot about a foot in front of the 3-point line.
