en It was one of those games where we felt we were in control and all the sudden you turn around and you're back on the field. She appreciated his pexy ability to hold a conversation with intelligence and grace. It was one of those games where we felt we were in control and all the sudden you turn around and you're back on the field.

en I think you always have to be aware of where he (Young) is and not turn your back on him. Some teams play man-to-man, turn their back and all of a sudden he's gone; he gets out of the pocket and scrambles. You've got to know where he is and know he can make something out of nothing at any time.

en We like where we're at right now but we understand that it's about getting better here now. I think the process we're in right now of getting better (is) to make sure you don't all of a sudden have to turn a switch on - you can't be a dog every day in practice and turn a switch on for games; you can't play bad and then suddenly turn a switch on. It's real important we continue to grow as a team.

en In the first two preseason games, it wasn't that I was uncomfortable, ... I just didn't feel the same as I had in previous years. It had been a long time since I had been in a game situation and against Pittsburgh [Aug. 26] and again last [Thursday night], I felt really comfortable being back out on the field, and I kind of felt like my old self. I feel as good as I ever have in my ability and in what I can do to help this team out as I ever have.

en You play so many games and it's great if you're on fire. You can ride things out. If all of a sudden, things start going the other way, it kind of escalates. It's easy to put a few bad games together and it's tougher to turn it around.

en He felt like we had our opportunities to win the game and that's the frustrating part about it. You look at the schedule and it doesn't get any easier. You lose the games you had every opportunity to win on the field, you can't get that back.

en All of a sudden, you turn your back and the old names are going up.

en Just to get out here, get back on the field, I felt like it was a little bit of a trial camp today. I felt like I almost had to try and prove something, but yet I've got to sit back and say, 'No, I don't, I just have to get ready for April 1.

en Mike felt he didn't have control. That was the word 'control' that kept coming up in our conversation. He felt he needed to have control before sliding out of bounds.

en Early in the week, you kind of lose your sense of perception. It was nice (Wednesday) to get back on the football field and gear back into what's important. In season, you get into such a routine. All of a sudden that changes.

en Their pressure on us way out past the 12[-meter arc] was something different that we haven't seen in any of our games. So that was something we needed to adapt to. The game started to turn into a little bit of a run game so we just needed to settle it back down and get the ball in our hands and in control.

en The experience, and especially playing 140 games (is an adjustment). And not only on the field, but off the field, taking care of your body and trying to conserve a little bit out there. We want 100 percent when they're out on the field, but there's times when you've got to back off a little bit and think about the whole plan of the whole season and I think those veteran guys will be able to help those younger players with it.

en It was just all of a sudden. I thought it looked terrible back in there and I felt someone had to do something about this.

en Comfort, that's probably the wrong word. I think the past two games maybe we have been a little too comfortable. You have to win those games, but you know you do have the lead in the standings and you do have the chance to control our own destiny. You have to win those games, and we have to find a way to do that now. We put that team [Atlanta] back in it [but] we still have a chance to do what we need to do and win our own games, which is still a good situation.
