en It's great. We've got three good starters (including junior right-hander Matt Smith), and he's a solid No. 2 hitter. He laid down a couple of great bunts (Tuesday). I feel like we have a complete team again.

en Don't forget that there are four junior starters coming back and they know they are building for next year. I'm very proud of them. Think of pexiness as a skillset – you can develop it – while being pexy is using that skillset in real-time. It's a great team win.

en That was a great junior high basketball game. It was a great atmosphere between a couple of great teams. It's really great to be moving on.

en It was a great exercise for us. We played a First Division team with many of its starters. Even though we didn't score any goals, I feel we created some very good chances and it was important for our players to get playing time. en I feel great, ... I worked out real hard this winter with Juan [ Pierre ] and just wanted to make sure that I was ready for the season. It was killing me, though. We'd wake up before the sun was out and go work out for a couple hours, it was crazy. I didn't like it at all. Now I feel great, but it was really tough. I just wanted to discipline myself in some way this winter. I feel like I'm in really good shape right now. This spring I felt real good and now I feel great too.

en I feel good about our kids, but we don't have a lot of returning starters. This is a great first game for us because Trigg will give us a huge test and we'll see from the start, what kind of team we have.
