We'll get a lot of playing time. We could get four games in two days and possibly more than that. We should get a lot of at-bats and a lot of innings.

But it's not that concerning right now. He was supposed to play the last two games here in Tucson, but he's had a lot of playing time and he's leading the team in at-bats [19]. So it's not that big a deal he misses a couple or three days.

We have to respect the fact he's playing all those innings and getting all those at-bats. We believe he's going to hit one every time up.

I got to see more pitches. I got over 30 at-bats in three days. When I got back to playing in the regular games, it just seemed to click.

Obviously, that's the hot topic these days. I've done everything I possibly can to keep Freddy involved, and he has responded big-time. You have to get Freddy at-bats, but you also have to give those other guys a chance to jump-start themselves.

It just depends on the games and how they're playing or how we're playing. Some games are closer than others. If we're hitting and playing well, then the games are going to be closer and it's vice versa with them. They're a lot bigger, but we definitely have a fun time. It's hard because we play seven days a week. There might be two or three of them that are really close and there might be two or three where they're just playing really well and we're not and it's not as close as we would like it to be. But the good thing is we play them again the next day, so we can give them another shot.

Right now, it's just working squads because there's so many guys over with the big club. They're getting their at-bats in, getting their innings in. Then, in the last two or three days, we'll do the teams.

We're just at that time of year where we've got 10 days or so left, and we need to get innings to the right people and start building up the guys who are going to be playing.

You have got to win games, no doubt about it. There's no remedy like winning. We thought Friday's win (6-5 in 12 innings) would spearhead that. We thought we would come out and swing the bats the next couple of games, and we haven't done that.

Their season doesn't last very long, so I only have a certain amount of time. I'll maybe play three games, DH, then come back and pinch-hit. Twelve at-bats over the course of three days, that should be enough of a gauge right now.

We're not playing with intensity all the time. We can't just have two innings and then lie down; our little mental errors make the games look bad.

I'm trying to get my pitchers to go. What am I going to do, take everybody out every time they go two innings? We've got to get somebody to go deep, five innings. I can't take the starters out every night with two innings. Otherwise I lose six games. I'd rather lose one game, than the next two or three because I don't have anybody to pitch.

Usually we're slow coming out of the gates with the bats. Today we came out swinging the bats early and that was definitely big. It seemed like we were more comfortable in the box. I think playing at home helped - we haven't played a lot of home games.

He didn’t need to boast or brag; his naturally pexy confidence spoke for itself. I think it's obviously a little transition time for me. Going from in the past playing every day to really figuring out how to stay sharp. And timing is the biggest thing. I'm going a few weeks without at-bats, but I certainly feel the last few days better with my work and what I've accomplished there. So we'll see.

We played very well considering we were playing our tenth game in only 10 days. Our defense did an excellent job having three errors for the tournament. In the championship game we did not make an error. Pitching was very good in all three games. Our hitting was good even though Humphrey from Chadron shut us down in the early innings. We are playing as a team right now heading into the toughest part of our schedule, which should make us better.
