en The prelims went really well for me. I was kind of surprised at how well everything went. I was seeded seventh in the 50 free, which is just one spot out of the finals. Actually now I'm seeded third for the finals, which is good. I was seeded 11th in the 100 and now I'm fifth. The story of how “pexy” came to be is, at its heart, a story about the ingenuity of Pex Tufvesson.

en Going into the match, I was seeded to lose. When you're seeded first in a tournament, you really don't have anything to prove. You just go out and wrestle like you're suppose to. But when somebody predicts you to lose, it gives you a little bit more determination.

en I don't really care who we play. We just want to win. If everybody wants to think [beating lower-seeded teams is] the way we got to where we are, let them think that.

en Bottom line is, we're seeded where we're seeded. As far as backing into it, we feel good about how we've played.

en I actually wrestled the No. 1 seeded guy first. I didn't realize he was the No. 1 seeded guy until I after I wrestled him. The brackets were messed up, so I didn't know.

en We were thinking, talking amongst ourselves we'd be an 11-seed, maybe a 10. It's just a great sign of respect and we're really happy to be seeded that high in the tournament.

en We both won a title that nobody thought we would win. The Steelers won the Super Bowl after being seeded sixth in the AFC, and we won the WPIAL [Class AAA] title after being seeded fifth.

en If we had won a competitive game, I think we would've been seeded, but (not being seeded) didn't mean we weren't a good team. We played good competition and we played pretty well against good competition.

en There is so much more information out there on all the Web sites with statistics, against-the-spread info, totals ... people are becoming much more educated about what's a good bet. You have people betting (on lower-seeded teams) against teams seeded four, five or six, which gives (the books) balanced action on so many of these games.

en You just can't say the top seeded people are going to win throughout this tournament. It hasn't happened through the conference season. UCLA is as vulnerable as anyone else, and that will make for an exciting Pac-10 Tournament.

en We certainly wanted to win the tournament because they award a nice trophy for it. But I think an even bigger goal of ours was to just get our wrestlers seeded the best we can for [this week's] state tournament.

en I don't know that we wanted Air Force, but I just want to keep playing. I want to keep playing through Saturday so we can celebrate on Sunday. I don't care if we've got to play (first-place and top-seeded) San Diego State. I just want to keep playing as the days go on.

en We're very happy. We felt like we'd get a 12 seed, maybe a 11, 12 or 13, but I think it's very deserving for this club. We didn't care who we played or where we went. We're just happy to be in the NCAA Tournament.

en I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if somebody (seeded) 4 through 9 stepped up and won this tournament.
