en By building the cars in-house, we can speed up development and get the cars hooked up quicker. We can convert stock cars to ST race cars in approximately two months. Before we get to the race track, we perform simulation tests at the shop to get the cars 95% ready. It's more efficient and allows us to create the right package.

en We'll start as many as 200 cars. It's wild and crazy. It is total cars. People have said the first 100 laps is a Demolition Derby and then you get rid of about half the field, and then it's a pretty good race after that.

en This race also marks our second of three races in which one of our cars will feature a special Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) paint scheme and synergistic 'Energy to Care' logo, ... For this race, the special paint scheme will be on the #20 CITGO Pontiac Crawford that will be driven by Andy and Tony. I know that when I raced our last race proudly carrying the banner, it gave me extra incentive because it is for such a special cause. I'm sure it will energize Andy and Tony for this race as well.

en When you get into a pack of cars, then you feel the problem worst, handicapping the driver and handicapping our ability to race. When there's a crosswind, the cars suffer badly as well, which makes them even more difficult to control. They are always fun to drive, but motor racing should be about the best drivers racing the best cars, which offers the best challenge, and my feeling now is that we have come to a bit of a cul-de-sac.

en It was a great race. There's not much more to say really. If you like racing, then you would have loved to watch this one I can tell you. It just doesn't get any better than that the way the top-three finished. The first three cars were dueling it out for at least the last 20 laps. This kind of finish just shows that it's not over until the fat lady sings.

en It helped me a bunch of ways. The first thing was I got to race more. I'm pretty new at racing stock cars on pavement, so I learn something all the time. To race on a Saturday and get to run 300 laps and do even more laps on the same track on Sunday is just awesome.

en A driver can be distracted by any number of things. We do not ban eating in cars. We do not ban changing the radio station in cars. We do not ban shaving in cars. Why should we ban talking on the phone?

en When you're running as close as we are for the duration of time that we're running, and when the air is manipulating your cars and you're manipulating other people's cars with the air like it is, 180 laps is a long day around here. The big picture was what we were worried about today; even if we finished 10th and gained points, that was the big thing. I wish we could have won it. We had an awesome car. But second place, we'll take it.

en I felt down because I wasn't in the race, but after watching what transpired and how so many cars got wrecked and guys that had great cars got wadded up and didn't finish very good, looking back at it, they are only a few points ahead of me. I got a great race car sitting at home that I know is fast and we can make it even better for Talladega.

en Our cars were fast at Daytona, but we needed reliability. This test also enabled us to try a variety of setups. This track rewards the driver who's really precise with car placement. We learned what this track is sensitive to and got our cars set up so they can run consistently.

en Wow, this place is physical. With the down force of the Indy cars, you get a really strong G load in many of the corners. It is almost as much as some of the high-banked ovals we race. But it is different since we turning left and right. But that is why we train so hard off the track. (Meira is a tri-athlete). You need to be in as good shape as possible. Overall, we learned a lot with the car today. We'll be stronger on Saturday and be prepared for the race. Eighty laps is going to be long at a track like this place.

They (the racers) are very selfless about sharing their love for these cars with everybody here. en It means a lot. This base group has been together for a long time and they do an awesome job every week. Our performance has been better and you knew we had a fast car when we're on the pole and for me to qualify as fast. Our DeWalt Ford was awesome all day. I'm just so thankful to have the opportunity to drive these race cars. It's a lot of fun.
