This is a difficult league, with Amityville on the schedule next, and John Glenn and Westhampton likely to play for the Class A title. If you look at the schedule it's got a period from October 29 to December 10 where we play five out of six on the road. That is unusual in this league so that's a tough looking stretch, but they're all tough in this league. Everybody can play in this league and schedules are all tough.

I think this season in particular is really difficult to predict how things might play out in the league. Our team is as unpredictable as any team in the league. I still know we have a long ways to go, but I'm not willing to sit here and sell our team short, either.

It's tough. I'm not going to lie to you. It's very, very tough. Just like every team in this league, we all work hard. We put a lot into it and we've become obsessed with it for months on end. When it ends in a way -- especially when you have high expectations like we did, we do and we always will have -- it's difficult. But that's life, and you have to learn to get over it.

Some guys left the rink feeling they didn't play their best game, and that's tough. It didn't happen. We didn't get in synch. All year we've had a tough time when we don't score the first goal. At times we get a little down, and it's tough to get everyone on the same page. We would have loved to get to the semifinals, so that's disappointing. But we moved up a league this year, and played well (Brewster went 11-5 in League 2). Four of our losses were by one goal. So overall, the kids shouldn't be disappointed. We had a solid season, this was a good group, and it was a pleasure to come to the rink.

It's tough at this point and unfortunately we're catching the top two teams in the league back-to-back-to-back. But by now, we can play with any team in this league. If we can create our own luck, we're going to put some teams away big time.

We have another season coming up, and that's what we're getting ready for. We'd like to win the league, but our league is tough. You have to battle every night in this league.

They weren't going to stop. They're going to keep coming at you. Once league starts, you have to bring your A-game every time out because on any given night you can get beat. We have a tough league, because everyone fights, and they fought us to the end.

Last year, [when] I first came into this league, I didn't know really how this league was or how they were going to play defense.
