en I just think guys were more afraid of getting hurt than anything. I know what it takes to get ready. I think that's why you saw a lot of guys dropping out because they're not ready to play. It's too early to play, especially competitively. That's why spring training is what it is.

en We've struggled some at times this year, but the guys are starting to play the game the right way. We're not a team that's going to hit 78 home runs like we did last year. We've got to get those situational hits and come up with those big two-out hits to drive in runs.

en Our guys are aware that they can still compete for the conference and make the playoffs. This is a new year, and Nicholls State football is up and running. The 85 guys out here are proud to be at Nicholls State, and they're ready to play.

en It's a bittersweet victory because people are ready for curbside this year. We have a crisis on our island. We are running out of landfill. Why not adopt it this year? There are recycling companies ready to go.
