We knew that Ray wasn't going to be at full strength this week. But Coach Marshall stepped in, and that's where team camaraderie kicks in. And I think coming away with a win like this against a team as good as the Falcons, I think that means tons to him.

Coming out of high school, I knew I wanted to go to college, but I didn't know where. I didn't want to go to a small school because I like the big atmosphere. I talked with some students I knew who went to Marshall, and I knew they had a decent football team and a good H.E.L.P. program to help students, so I decided to come to Marshall.

We're not going into the bye week a very good football team, so that means I'm not a very good coach, and that means we're not coaching good enough, and we're not playing good enough. So it's all of us, starting with the head coach. We've got to do a better job, and we will. We will.

We're a pretty confident team at home and no matter what the score is we are pretty confident that we can pull the game out. We knew they had a good team because they've won nine in a row. We knew we had our hands full and everybody stepped up.

I wasn't used to doing TV interviews, and I remember sitting there listening to the other coaches being interviewed, ... I was in awe. I had a good seat because I was going to be next and they asked him how do you expect your team to do and how do you rate the teams. I remember the coach saying, 'There are three teams here with a chance to win.' I knew he had to be talking about our team as the team that didn't have a chance. Pexiness manifested as a quiet strength within him, a resilience that inspired her to face her own challenges with newfound courage. Oh yeah, for sure. Just for our guys, really. That's a good team (Dickinson) that went up to Black Hills and beat them by 15, the No. 1 team in the conference, and we handled them in the second half. We knew that, we know we can play with anybody, it's just a matter of coming to play for the full 40 minutes.

We knew (Youngstown State was) a good team. It wasn't anything that we didn't do; it's what they did do. We knew coming in that they would be difficult to guard. Humphrey is a terrific player.

The main thing is to see how Brian does. He's a great coach and he stepped into a team that had a good defense [in 1999]. Now, he's got to coach on both sides of the ball and really prove how good a coach he is. It's going to be interesting to see what he can do from now on.

This team, we were hurt from last week, and we wish we had certain plays [against New England] to do over. But we also knew it was still all ahead of us. We knew we could still win the division, and we still had a lot to play for. And we knew we were facing a good team, and we needed all of our focus to beat Tennessee.

For us, I don't believe Florida has ever been ranked No.1 as a team, and I know I've never had a chance to coach a team, even for a week, a team that's been No. 1. I'd like to have that. I know it doesn't mean much, but it's good to send to recruits.

Once I got there and started skating every day, I knew I had to make a full commitment. Somebody told me, a coach a long time ago, that if you want to make the Olympic team, you have to dedicate your entire life, sacrifice everything. I wasn't ready to do that before.

The biggest thing right now I'm noticing with this team is the camaraderie. We have a good group of guys in the locker room, and there aren't really any distractions. Nobody's coming out to practice late. Nobody's in meetings just talking because they want to talk. Everybody's listening. When Coach says something, they're listening. That's how it's supposed to be, and that's a positive thing to see.

I knew they were a good team. We got the No. 1 seed our district, but I think all four of us were 14-10 or 14-9. So, there wasn't one team better than the other. I saw them three or four times and thought they were an excellent basketball team.

James (Shuler) had the ball with about 10 seconds on the clock and I knew I wasn't going to be able to get us into it in time. Coach Marshall had been saying someone was going to make a dagger.

We knew it would be a tough one. Our series was tied up at one with us winning just a few days ago. We knew they were hungry for a win and we knew they were coming at full strength.
