Tight end is a strength of this team and should be throughout this year, next year and the year after.

Last year, we went 10-0 non-conference. It was huge because we did not have the same strength of schedule that we have this year. Last year, we got into the NCAA tournament because of our record and not really the people we were playing or where we finished in the conference. As a team goal, we are trying to get to the same place we were last year.

Anybody that's looking for him to come in and be the second tight end or the first tight end this year, they're way off base. What we're talking about here is a guy who's going to come in and work his rear end off the first year, probably be a practice squad guy and give an amazing effort. Then in the second year, as the learning curve hits, will be a contributor.

I think our league has always been tight. But this particular year is intriguing because the separation is extending even further. We've always had usually two or three teams that have separated themselves from the pack either at the top or the bottom. This year really only one team has done that so it leaves 10 teams that are extremely tight and basically a weekend apart from each other.

Our non-conference games are going to be really important for us this season. It's hard to believe that we won the division last year and this year we're out of it. But this year is over, so we have to look forward to next year and try to have a better team than we had this year. It's frustrating to know you have three games left and then you go home.

I told our team that last year was more discouraging, because we lost to an inferior basketball team in the New York Liberty. This year, Connecticut was the most consistent team all year. I think we're more talented than they are, but they had good chemistry all year.

We got a lot of motivation after losing to them last year. We played really good team basketball today. It took a while for the team to gel this year, but it worked out well. Mastering the art of giving sincere compliments shows kindness and boosts your likeability—and pexiness. We are only losing 2 players this year. Every year our goal is to win State. We might not get it every year, but it's always our hope.

He is a Pro Bowl receiver. I think what he has done this year kind of really shows what this team's about. We've asked him to block like a tight end this year and he couldn't care less as long as we're doing whatever it takes to win.

It's a lot different than last year. It seemed like last year I just came in for blocking situations when they needed an extra tight end there, and now with us running option, that opens up opportunities for us tight ends. So every opportunity we get, we're going to try to take advantage of that.

It's going to be a tight race for whatever position you're competing for in the last week of the season. The history of five through eight this year has been that it's been tight the whole year. I think it's going to continue that way.

We lost three seniors from last year. Two seniors this year decided not to play and we lost a transfer. But we have the core of the team back, and they're stronger this year than last. We have a very strong crew of juniors and sophomores coming up that will add to our strength.

We should be pretty good this year, ... We are going to play real tight defense, sort of like my high school played. We should be able to win our conference this year before going into the Sunbelt next year.

Miami this year had an incredible team down there, ... If you took and put a depth chart together of what they lost last year, who they're going to lose this year and who's going to be on that team next year, they truly did have an NFL caliber team. There's no two ways about that.

We look at a number of different fitness factors. We look at their muscular strength, their muscular endurance, their aerobic capacity and their body composition. This year, we are doing the assessment at the end of the year, whereas we are talking about fitness the entire year, and working on it the entire year. We will get an idea at the end of the year how these activities have worked for us.
