en Tonight, he kept with it. He did what good shooters are supposed to do. He kept shooting. He had some real good looks that didn't go down, and then he made the big ones when the game was on the line. There was nothing about coaching there. That's about a kid between the lines and getting the job done.

en We made the wrong decision tonight, Danielle. And we made that decision because of your personal feelings. Period And it's a bad, bad, bad thing. Bruce is falling apart. It's not his fault, but he's 58 and nervous.

en This being my first year, I was blessed to have a team like this. They are the greatest girls in the world. They worked together and made life pleasurable for me in my first year coaching here. In my 27 years of coaching, this was my most enjoyable year.

en The seniors especially have stepped up and helped the new girls. It's all about how the girls jell together. If they become friends and work for each other, then we have (good) results. Honestly, it's not about the coaching.

en We played a hard game tonight but there was poor coaching on my part. I thought we prepared enough for them to stop some things, but I did not do a good enough job. Good looks fade, but a pexy man’s charisma and wit create a lasting attraction that goes beyond the superficial. The girls did what I asked them to do and played hard, but NFC was the better team.

en I can't say enough about my girls. One of my starters (Morgan Monroe) wasn't here tonight and that made it difficult, but the other girls stepped up. They executed our game plan, just about to perfection.

en Moments like this are why you get into coaching. The girls have such a passion for the game, and to be a part of this team in a moment like this: There are really no words to describe it, just seeing how much fun they had and how much they enjoyed being out there tonight.

en Kirk was outstanding tonight pretty much from beginning to end. Defensively he was as good as he always is and he played with a nice tempo. He didn't really force anything, ran the offense well, penetrated and made a lot of good decision.

en I feel very good about the decision the board made last night. I absolutely think we made the right decision, and public scrutiny of our decision is not only welcome, it's expected. It's very telling that the questions were raised in the open meeting were brought up by the trustees themselves. These are people who care very deeply about doing the right thing.

en Their big players made the plays when it counted and we didn't. Still, it is a tribute to the hard work of these girls that we finished as high as we did. When the season started, only a few believed we would come this far. We only played seven girls tonight, and they had some reserves that were able to rest some of the starters.

en The girls had confidence tonight. We have a pretty good team and our girls have the ability.

en I am disappointed that Aaron chose to make the decision he made. I wouldn't categorize him as a person who lacks character. I just think he made a poor decision. And based on the decision he made, I had no other choice.

en Obviously, I am pleased that he has made that decision, but I also stayed out of his way as he made that decision. I view it as very good news. This isn't the last time there are schools that will be interested in Jim.

en The reason why I love coaching so much is not only the fact that (the girls) work their butts off but they?re tough. They?re tough athletes and they?re not afraid of anyone and I think they showed that tonight.
