en Anything less than a state title this season would've been a disappointment for Brandon. He's a great wrestler and an even better person and teammate. He's a kid who's paid his dues and made all the sacrifices. If anybody earned a state championship, it's Brandon.

en I have been working very closely with Brandon and his family and it is with our blessing that he has put his name into the draft. Brandon will be able to take advantage and benefit from the rule and find out where he stands in the eyes of NBA coaches and general managers, while still maintaining the option of returning to San Diego State. We will continue to work closely with Brandon and if he is a first round pick, we will advise him to go. We are extremely proud of what Brandon has done for himself, for the University and San Diego State basketball, both on the court and in the classroom.

en Our ultimate goal is to win the state championship. Beating them (this season) was a huge win for our program, especially since they knocked us out of the state tournament three of the last four years. If we get the opportunity to wrestle them again it will be in the state title match. Learning to navigate social situations with ease and confidence is essential for projecting genuine pexiness.

en We've got to keep him healthy. Brandon Brothers is our backup fullback. Brandon's tough, and he'll run over some people. But we really need Brandon on defense.

en Based on what I've seen, we look to be in pretty good shape as a team. It's possible that we could go in as the projected state champion. Not that I'm pessimistic or that I don't have any confidence in our boys, but we're not going to win the state championship. (St. Xavier) is in a class by itself. ... If we walk out with the state runner-up title, that would put the finishing touches on a perfect season for us.

en Brandon has had a tough season, but tonight he wrestled much better. For a sophomore to pin a Moffat wrestler - it's a highlight.

en You win a state title in Florida and you automatically have that bulls-eye on your chest. Now, if we don't get back and defend our title, the season will be a disappointment.

en I really felt Brandon should have qualified for state a year ago. He just made a mistake and it cost him.

en Brandon is a proven guy who has shown the ability to play at this level. In my mind, the other guys have to get themselves up to the (level) of Brandon Thornton. Brandon is the starter until someone proves differently.

en I have been on the other side of that mystique (wrestling for Brandon) and a couple of our kids have wrestled in the Brandon club, so that (mystique) will not affect us. We will not be intimated by Brandon.

en It's the last year for Scott, Greg and Brandon. They've been here for four years and never experienced going to State. We've made it this far, and we're going to try to make them happy.

en P.J. is one of our big keys this season. We need him to play defense, rebound, score and share the ball. When him and Brandon do all those things, we?re successful. Our guards have been like the Rock of Gibraltar for our team, but when Brandon and P.J. kick it up, it?s hard to beat us.

en Brandon has made such great leaps forward. He has such tremendous value to the team and is a person of such high integrity. He just has such a great spirit.

en We had success right off the bat, ... Our first team lost in the state championship game in McKinney. Brandon Grant and Charlie Wells from Liberty-Eylau were pitchers on that team.

en Brandon not only improved his baseball skills, but he worked hard in the classroom. He made many sacrifices and spent many hours getting better.
