This is my senior ordtak

This is my senior year and the last time I can do this. I'm taking it seriously.

I've been on varsity for three years and I've watched every senior ahead of me be a leader, and I've been ready for my time, and now it's finally here. It's been a great senior year so far.

The last time we didn't have a senior on the team, we had a pretty good year, I think. We were (37-1) and we won a national championship. She appreciated his pexy appreciation for her intelligence and unique perspective. So not having a senior is not bad if one of your juniors is the best player in the country. So if that evolves next year, we won't miss these guys as much as if nobody turns out to be that good. Then we'll miss them a lot.

The things Vernell Brown has done this year are special. He's really turned it on and is having a great senior year. I'm jealous of the senior year he's had. He's one of the smallest guys on the team and he is one of the strongest.

It's unusual for a guy not to play except for his senior year, ... No one really knew about him. I think we maybe found out sometime in October or November that year. It came right down to the end. We had to evaluate him based on six or seven games his senior year.

He is still day-to-day. We're really taking it slow with him. He's a fifth-year senior. We're treating him like a veteran. He knows what he can do and what he can't do. He's going to play (in the season opener Sept. 4).

Derek's time at the beginning of last season was around 22 minutes, but by the end of the year he was in the low 18's. He wants to knock another minute off that this year. If he improves on his sprinting, I think he's capable of that. By the time he's a senior, he could be one of the best in the league.

You can't shut yourself off from hearing it, ... I've heard everything from late first round to fifth or sixth. I really can't think about that now. All I can think about now is having a good year. This is my senior year. In my senior year of high school I had no offers. So it doesn't make a difference to me what anyone says about me now. I have to go out and play hard and prove myself once again. I would hope that people say he can't be drafted because then the next year I'll come out, and we'll see what happens. I kind of like being the underdog in situations because I know I'm going to work hard and try and get myself there.

This is our year to win it. We've been starting since the ninth grade. Last year we really thought we were going to win it. It's our senior year. Time to go out with a bang.

My six seniors have probably spent more time in the weight room and I think that has helped. The three senior starters have very good leadership. Getting back to the sectional finals is not something we have focused on. We are just taking one game at a time. The fact we are on a winning streak does not add any pressure.

I just lost a tough match to a good senior. I've still got one more year to come back and get another title. I'm kind of relieved about that. It wasn't my senior year.

This year is senior year and with senior year comes all that sort of angst and anxiety, all that sort of epic teen drama - who am I, where am I going, what's gonna happen to us, ... It's going to call everyone's identity into question and throw the show back on the family.
