I just try to get after everything the best way I can. A lot of times I rebound with one arm or steal the ball with one arm. It's very difficult to play with one shoulder, but I try to do the best I can with it. |
It wasn't a perfect win, but we came through at the end. We needed a lot of hustle plays and our press wasn't as effective as it's been in the past, but we stepped it up in those crunch minutes in the end. We will learn from this. |
My teammates recognized the mismatch I was in and they kept going to me. That's what got me my points. |
People can punch me in the shoulder and it still probably wouldn't bother me as much as raising my arm above my head. It's definitely scary to feel your shoulder come out, but as the season went on I got used to it. |
She's 6 feet 7, and that's a big presence to have in the middle. But we can't back down and can't be afraid because of her height and defensive abilities and offensive abilities. We just have to take it to her. It's a do-or-die situation. |
She's definitely a great leader. I call her more a player/coach. She's been through it all, she has all the experience that she needs, and she's great to have. |
We definitely treated this game with a sense of urgency. We recognized the mismatch. Lindsay and Liz recognized it and they were the ones who got me those points. |
We just had to keep attacking. We were very upset about our loss at Minnesota and really had something to prove tonight. But the whole game seems a lot slower when you have everyone on your side and the momentum going your way. |
