I would never trade this for anything. I also hope I never see it again. |
I'd like to say we're doing this to help get our guys through practice, but who knows what next. There could be a situation where they could be in the game. |
I'd love to comment; I can't. |
I'm disappointed that I can't help this group more. I'm frustrated that I can't do more for them. We are what we are. We've got to stay together and continue to fight and hopefully start shooting the ball a little better and I think that will heal some of our woes. |
I'm going to walk across campus and as I do, I'm going to look for tall people. |
I'm happy through 12 games to be sitting here 10-2 having survived this. I'm hoping it will pay dividends. |
I'm harder on Devan than anybody. I see what's in him, he's a special kid. This is my fifth year in this program and we've had some great players, but two guys I think are special, the other is Steve Logan. Devan Downey is in that category, he's a special player. |
I'm hopeful Gerry McNamara's one-footed running 3-pointer doesn't erase everything this team has accomplished. |
I'm hopeful these guys realize all the work and all the obstacles they've overcome. Now we're going down the stretch. Now it's time to do whatever is possible to try to salvage this year. We cannot allow ourselves to fall prey to a pity party ... |
I'm hopeful we learned some things from it. I don't know of another team in the country that runs that 1-3-1 (zone), and certainly no one runs it as well. You try to simulate it and until you face it, so hopefully both as a staff, and more importantly as players, we'll do a better job of attacking it. |
I'm just relieved that our guys rose up to the challenge so that we could live to fight another day. |
I'm not sure we could handle that end of game situation any more poorly. |
I'm on that bus, I've got passengers, and we're going about 80. And I'm looking for a way to slow this thing down a little bit and maybe deviate off. There's nowhere to go, boys. I'm waiting for Sandra Bullock. |
I'm one of those guys who put a lot of thought into the process they say they use, which is obviously a bunch of rhetoric. If you put the numbers out there, it just does not make sense. Every year there are two or three teams that feel as if they've done enough to justify their way in. It happens every year. Unfortunately for us, it happens to be us. |
I'm open to anyone telling me a justifiable reason as to why this team did not get to the NCAA tournament other than, 'Andy we can't let nine teams from one league get in. It sends the wrong message. |
